The South Carolina Power Team and GIS Planning have launched a new website that provides businesses with free, up-to-date information to help persuade them to move to the state and set up shop.

This website, (http://SouthCarolina.zoomprospector.com) provides immediate access to in-depth information, including real estate, demographics, and industry breakdowns for all 46 counties in South Carolina. The interactive design of the website allows users to pick a location on the map and instantly receive information specific to that area.

According to Anatalio Ubalde, CEO of GIS Planning, “Over 97% of the initial site selection screening is done on-line now.” The Power Team, along with GIS Planning, have taken what used to take weeks worth of research and made it available in a matter of minutes.

Technology from Google maps was used to create a state-of-the-art site selection mapping capabilities. Hopefully, with this new technology and website available, more businesses will consider moving their companies to South Carolina.
