New Airlines headed to GSP
It looks like Tuesday, January 18, will be the big day for Greenville-Spartanburg Airport as they will announce the addition of yet another new low-cost airlines.
According to an article from GoUpstate.com, a GSP spokeswoman could not name the new airlines, but ruled out JetBlue and Frontier. The smaller carrier will offer more destination options to Upstate residents as it plans to fly to cities not currently offered out of GSP.
With the arrival of Southwest Airlines this spring, the addition of yet another low-cost airlines will certainly help boost the Upstate economy and travelers to and from the Greenville area.
It appears GSP has big plans in its future with talks of remodeling the 48-year-old main terminal and adding two new airlines to its current lineup.
