Mitsubishi Polyester Film Inc. plans to expand and upgrade its Greer facilities. They are in the beginning stages of implementing a new closed-loop sustainable recycling process for polyester release liners. With this new recycling feature also comes the need to hire 10-15 more employees to help implement the process. The company plans to spend $10 million for the liner program.

Thanks to the Mitsubishi Polyester Film Reprocess Sustainable Liner Recovery Program, wasted material will start to become a thing of the past. This process has been a work in process, being developed over time with the latest in technologies that have been refined.

As an affiliate of Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc., the Greer plant was started in 1964 and has a workforce of over 600 employees. The new recycling loop will be built on the company’s 197 acre facility in Greer.
